  Transition problem

  I cannot place a transition between clips. The clip is long enough, I drag the transition out video or audio and get a small x. Any ideas

  You need to make sure that there is handles or overlap for a clip, If you set the out point too far for a clip, there will not be the needed frames for the transition.
