  timeline and playhead

  Unless the entire sequence fits on your screen in full, the playhead goes off screen while playing the sequence and then you don’t see what is being played. In Imovie, the timeline scrolls across your screen (right to left) and the playhead stays centered so that you constantly see what is being played. Anyway to do this in FCP? thanks

  No, but there is a workaround… just hit Apple-+ or Apple-(Minus) and it will jump to playhead in the middle without stopping the playback.
