  Troubles Editing HDV, rendering and exporting

  We are having troubles editing with HDV, when we render the timeline, the video is running faster than normal, and the point in the time line doesn’t even match what is in the canvas.

  when we try to export back to tape we get an error about dropped frames… “aborted ETT / PTV dropped frames”

  we are using FCP 5.0.4 editing native HDV from a Sony Z1.
  G5 Mac OS X (10.4.6)

  Use an easy set up pto ensure that all of your settings are matched.

  THis sounds like a problem of mismatched sequence settings.
