  Photoshop Files?!?!

  I’m sure this problem has been addressed before but I can’t find it. I’m having issues when I bring a photoshop file into FCP. The image appears stretched vertically and I can’t fix it. I found at article on the apple website that explained why this happened but I was left more confused. They told me I need to go back to Final Cut and put a dot in each corner so it won’t stretch it. Well that didn’t work. But FCP is not just stretching photoshop files but also jpegs or pretty much any other image I bring in. I need help and fast! Thanks.

  What happens when you put the image in the timeline and then double click on it?

  FCP will autostretch in the view in the viewer.

  The photoshop file looks fine on the canvas. But on my output monitor it still looks stretched.
