  • Interlace on one timeline…

I know this is a dumb question but I’ve been trying to figure it out for hours on FCP to no avail.
I recently shot a project 24p and have been editing it on FCP. I did the trailer in one sequence and opened up another sequence to cut the full length video.
All video on Sequence 2 has every 3rd or 4th frame interlaced. While in Sequence 1 every 3rd or 4th frame is just an artifact (repeating frames, one after the other).
    What is going on here?
I dont mind the artifact frame but I do mind the interlace on Sequence 2.
    Please help.
The actual raw video I imported looks fine…

    Thanks

If your settings for the first sequence are working for you then there is a simple solution.

Duplicate the 1st sequence, delete all the clips inside of it and work inside that sequence. I do this all the time so that I make sure I don’t change any one of the hundred options you might misakenly change when creating a sequence from scratch.

You can do this in the Browser by selecting the first sequence, Control click and choose Duplicate from the pulldown menu that will appear.

    Good Luck
