  No audio while capturing

  I use FCP 4.5 and I can’t figure out why I can’t hear audio while I’m capturing. I can see the audio levels responding to the footage and there is audio in the captured file, but I would also like to hear the audio while I am capturing so I know what is going on in the footage. I have check all the capture output settings for audio and the only option is “Built-In Audio”. Any reason or ideas why this wouldn’t be working? I’m on a PowerMac G5 running OS 10.3.9
