  FCP won’t open

  Hi there. My FCP 5 will not open. When I try to open it it opens the window asking if I have any external media devices connected, but then shuts down right after that. But it doesn’t bring up an error window or anything it just shuts down. I have tried re-installing it, but it still doen’t work. I have been using this version since just after it came out, without any problems. It just started doing this out of the blue. I can’t think of anything that I have done. Has anyone had a similar problem, or know what, if anyting I can do. Thanks

  Start by trashing the preferences and see if the application opens after that.
