  DVD plays back with pauses, and stutters

  I produced a video that was recorded 1080iHDV and then I captured it in FCP as HD. Settings DV NTSC 48Khz for Sequence Preset and Capture preset. I burned the DVD with DVD SP4, as a SD NTSC video. There is one area in the video that pauses and shakes and then starts to stutter the speed. After about 30 seconds of this it goes back to normal.
  Can this problem be fixed? How can I prevent this?

  It always COULD be just “that” particular disc.

  Did you burn another to see?

  Did you play the “bad” disc in another DVD player?

  thanks for the info. I got it worked out. It was the disk.
