  No Timecode

  Somehow one of my tapes recorded audio and video without timecode, I can see the video in my log and capture screen but I cannot capture anything. It cannot locate any timecode. Any suggestions?

  Never mind, I figured it out. In case anyone wants to know, I did it by capturing it as a non controllable device.

  Yup — that’ll do it.

  You might be able to fix this with Modify – Timecode. Find a matched frame to the tape and set the timecode in FCP to match it. Then under the clip properties label the tape it came from and you’ll be good to recapture if needed down the road.
