  • Display time/date of recording?

    Hello –

I have a really simple question: Is it possible to display the time/date the footage was shot in Final Cut Pro?

I’m not talking about the timecode, but like how this footage was shot on May 2, 2003 at 10:35am, etc. When I capture through my miniDV camcorder, the camcorder displays this info. And when I monitor through my camcorder, it will also display this info as I scrub through the footage. I don’t want it to actually show in the final output, just so I can use the time/date for reference as I’m editing.

I figure this is something basic and I’m just missing a simple button that’ll probably be right in my face, but I wasn’t able to find a solution in the manual or searching the postings.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank You!

That information is not available within FCP.

    All the best,

    Tom
