I have a clip (part of a multi clip) in my project that has a 1-frame digital hit (artifact) in it. I re-transcoded using Davinci Resolve 12 from AVCHD to Prores LT, checked the quicktime file and the hit is gone. When I reconnect, or even reimport the clip again the artifact is there again and then it shows up in the source quicktime file as well! I’ve tried re transcoding, changing the name of the clip, and placing it in a subfolder to break the connection, all to no avail. Kinda scratching my head on this one….any clues?

iMac, Late 2012. 3.4ghz Intel Core i7 24GB RAM, running OSX 10.10.5 Yosemite and Final Cut Pro 7

    Thanks in advance!
