Multiclips inexplicably renaming master clips as Audio files
OK strange one here, and somewhat difficult to explain. Working on a television series with many 3 camera shoots. Everything is ProRes LT, with Audio captured separately as WAV. Multi clips work fine.
When I move multicam clips between projects, they end up giving the “A cam” (angle 1) the same name as the .WAV file in which they are synced with. So, when I go to collapse my multi clip angles, to prep for online, I’m left with many video clips that are renamed. If I go to reconnect media, it asks for the WAV file instead of the video file, which obviously is wrong.
My only work around right now is to create new master clips for affiliate clip in the timeline that has been renamed, and then in the browser choose “rename clip to match file”.
This is a huge headache and I have not been able to google up the issue anywhere. Has anyone else run into this and am I explaining it correctly? Specs posted below, Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks CC gang!
