What’s the best way to slowdown 59.94 fps in a 23.98 timeline?
I have lots of foot shot in 60 fps. i’m using it in a 23.98 timeline. It plays fine. I have some footage I wanna slowdown. I imagine I can get a good slowdown effect here since I shot it in more than twice as many fps as the timeline.
What’s the best way to do that? I simply opened the frame speed box, changed the speed (in this case to 74.11%), and have all the options checked. Is this good? Bad? Is there a better way to do this?

When I went to conform, it gave me options to choose from. Are you saying I should not just choose 23.98? Manually entering 23.976 will lead to a better result?

Cinema Tools doesn’t have a 23.976 settings, but 23.98 is just that…they round up. Use that one.

I’ve found that using Compressor’s frame controls can give great results. I’ve created a droplet for compressor that does this pretty well. PM me and I’ll send it to your email. (A little easier than explaining how to do it).
Otherwise good ol’ Kenstone.net has a tutorial on how to create your own compressor setting that slows footage from 59.94 to 23.98 using the frame controls’ Optical Flow technology. A little old, but works well.
