• Apple Final Cut Pro Legacy

  final cut pro 7 won’t render my project.

  Hello

  I’m having difficulties rendering my project in final cut pro 7, its on an external hard drive and when i open the project its not rendered and its all red in the canvas with a “media offline” reading. using control-R and control-shift- R doesn’t work. my editing teacher in film school knew how to get around this but its been so long i forgot how to do it.

  please help!

  If it says MEDIA OFFLINE that means that FCP can’t find the media. There’s nothing to render, as it’s not connected to anything. You need to reconnect the media. Is the drive with the media connected? Powered on? Did you move the media to a new location?
