I’m editing footage shot on the Panasonic HVX 200 with these specs:

    DVCPRO HD 720p60, 960 x 720 (1248 x 702)
    FPS: 59.94

I’m Editing the footage in FCP at 29.97. Everything else is the same.
I color corrected the footage in FCP, then exported it out as a QT reference movie (left the “make movie self contained box” unchecked) into After Effects CS3.
I don’t touch anything in the interoperate footage option. The AE comp matches the QT settings. I export as DVCPROHD 720p60. I turned off all the check boxes in the project setting dialogue cause they were messing with my gamma. I’ve also tried export with any combo of these checks on, and messing with the settings in the interoperate footage dialogue as well as exporting with Sheer codec, Animation codec, TGA, and it still looks a little washed out.

When I import the clip back into FCP and put scopes on it, everything is clipped a little, washing out the footage. the black level is raised to about 7
and the white is clipped to about 80. I have no problem with SD footage. Can anyone help?

    Thanks,
    Jeff
