  creating master clips from HQ separatly recorded audio

  Hi

  I’m editing a short video and they used a double system in shooting it. The producer likes to jump in and do edits sometimes. He want me to create master clips synced with the high quality audio they shot. I synced it on the timeline, but I’m trying to create sub clips with no success. I actually edited the first part of the time line by creating in and out points.

  Any idea how to do this in FCP 7?

  Yeah, that’s not how to make new master clips. You need to make MERGED CLIPS…here, this is the manual on how to do that:
