    Hi.

First I wanna thank for this great forum and the effort you guys put into it.

And now to the problem. I’ve been trying for some time to see if it is possible for me to import my c4d opject into AE, so that I can move around it like I move around it in c4d but without luck. So I’m just wondering if any of you could tell me how to do this?

Or just tell me how to render out my animation in c4d because that is also causing me trouble.

    Thanks
    Jacob

The best way is to render this out in C4D. Change your render settings to account for NTSC or PAL (if that’s what you’re doing of course) and on the same tab is an export for After Effects option, save an aec file.

Render out your animation as an image sequence – the default if TIFF, but for basic stuff I use jpeg (it’s smaller). Then open AE, choose import and import your .aec file and AE will bring in not just your image sequence but also the position of the 3D camera, and lights.

    Hope that helps
