    Hello:

I’ve got a 2 hour project I’d like to uprez to 720 (it’s currently 720×480). My finished quicktime is almost 2 hours long and my machine isn’t powerful enough to do the upconversion with Compressor. (Compressor just sort of stalls…) I have another (family) computer, however, which is faster. So – is there another convertor program that I can buy and make the up-rez? Thanks for the insight. I think I heard about “Red Dragon” or some such thing….?
    Truly,
    Rick

Hi Dave: My SD was widescreen.

Compressor can now be bought as a stand alone app. Buy that on the family computer and use it for the uprez.

If compressor is choking, you might be running out of clean drive space or RAM or both. Have you considered slicing the thing up into smaller chunks, exporting and then re-assembling the converted “chunks” back into one file?
