  Apple Compressor stalling out

  For the past week all my compressions sit there. An error message is not given. The program just stalls. I’ve cleared the .plist, restarted it, and it just sits there. Besides looking for my installation disks is there something else I can do. Has this ever happened to anybody else? The time code all goes to dashes, where it’s telling me how long it will take .
  

  Unfortunately we’re not using new stuff with old stuff. We’re still all old stuff here in the municipal offices, so I wouldn’t think there would be any problems there since nothing has changed. FCP 7.0.3 with Compressor 3.5.3

  go to DigitalRebellion.com and download COMPRESSOR REPAIR. Run it.

  Thanks Shane that did the trick! Would you be able to suggest something similar to the program that would fix Imovie? Whenever I import movies, the files get half way then the import just vanishes. It hasn’t always done this. I trashed the .plist and restarted the program but its still crashing.

  Sorry, I don’t know anything about iMovie. Nor of repair tools for it.
