  exporting audio only from FCP

  Hello All (again)

  I’ve been asked to send the audio from a recent shoot to the producers to listen to. They don’t need high quality (it’s just for reference) and they don’t need the pictures. What’s the smallest/easiest way to export audio once I’ve stripped out the video from the timeline – please?

  No need to strip out video. Just export as Dave said and select audio only. AAC is also a fairly universal codec for audio compression
