Have a client that wants a DVD… Burned thousands. This one keeps getting squeezed into 4:3 window even though I’ve selected 16:9. Using idvd…How do I do a simple 16:9 burn with 16:9 data?

I do my burns in DVDSP, easy to use and gives more control. In DVDSP, you can have the same problem you describe, and it comes from the fact that the dimensions on the file need to be checked as 16:9 and then you have to also click onto the background of the project and set the same thing there, or the effect you describe happens.

Somewhere, your project has a metadata tag in it that interprets the proportions wrong. Can you open a past, successful project and use it as a template, replacing the footage with the new file?
