  FCP audio/video setup when capturing 70D clips

  Having difficulty enabling log and capture. Get message “unable to initialize HDV deck….” My A/V setting are as follows:
  Seq preset” Apple Prores 422
  Capture preset: HDV (also tried generic template)
  Device Control: Non-controllable device (also tried several HD firewire settings)

  I have downloaded and installed EOS plug in 1.6. It is resident in the plug-in folder.
  Have memory card connected via card reader to usb port. Perhaps this is the problem? File is on card in EOS_DIGITAL folder.

  have also tried copying mem card contents to folder named EOS-Digital. FCP does not see it as under L/C, I get message shown above.
  On MBP, running 10.6.8, 8 GB ram, FCP version is 6.0.6

  Goal: transfer from memory card while transcoding to Prores 422. Transcoded files to be on drive specified in FCP.

  Suggestions greatly appreciated.
