Hi everyone! I’m working on a project in Final Cut Pro 7. I’m in need of a digital glitch/hit filter or plugin. I’m trying to scramble the image, like when your Dish goes out or your cable hiccups.

There seem to be a ton of these available for FCP X, but I have yet to tackle that beast. Any help would be appreciated. I’m willing to purchase an old filter/plugin package, if necessary.

I have access to After Effects, and I’ve been able to find several plugins for that program, but not being very familiar with it, I was hoping to stay in my comfortable FCP 7 sandbox for now…

    Thanks!

    Don

    Specs: FCP 7, Macbook Pro (mid-2010) 2.66GHz Intel Core i7, 4GB 1067 MHZ DDR3, NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M 512MB

Rampant is actually giving away a BUNCH of free effects lately, including some samples from their “Distortion” set, and that includes two “glitch” FX that could work for your needs. Free.
