  DVD and Blu Ray to ProRes?

  Hi,
  I’m not sure this is the right place for this q but couldn’t find a more relevant forum.
  I’m looking for ways to convert some of my DVD and Blu Ray discs to ProRes. So, first to rip them and then convert. A quick search online gave me some softwares (~$40-50) for conversion- they all look the same. Not sure how to rip – I can use Handbreak for DVDs but not Blu Rays. I wonder if someone has an experience here and can suggest the best workflow.

  PS – I know there’s always the question of copyrights – but these are only for personal use.

  MPEG Streamclip is good and free, works on stuff that’s not copy-protected. Can’t help on the BluRay.
