  854 X 480 sequence

  Here’s a dumb question. I ripped video footage from a DVD I created. ( i no longer have the raw footage.

  Using MPEG StreamClip I saved it as a 854 X 480 pro res clip. Although it drag fine in my new sequence, it does not play.

  Any thoughts? Do I need to same it as 720 X 480 then make the settings anamorphic?

  FCP works best with standard video formats…the dimensions you ripped aren’t standard. So yes, it’s best to convert that to 720×480 Anamorphic, and use a sequence with the same settings.

  FYI, Adobe Premiere isn’t so finicky…it’ll take that clip no problem.
