I am using FCP 7 and I want to export MXF containing XDCAM HD 422 codec, but when i export mxf it gives me two options for compression:

    1- XDCAM HD
    2-XDCAM HD Generic

which one should i use if i want “XDCAMHD 422”

How are you exporting? Are you using the FILE>EXPORT>XDCAM from FCP?

I’m sorry, I don’t see that option. Are you sure you are using FCP 7…and this isn’t FCP-X?

    Sorry for late reply.

I am using a third party plugin to export xdcam. I found that XDCAM HD Generic is actually XDCAM HD 422. So my problem was resolved
