  Playback ‘sticking’ in FCP7

  I’m editing a project on FCP 7. When I watch Playback, it always ‘sticks’ on cuts– it’ll freeze-frame for just a second after a cut, consistently. No dropped frame warnings, and when I export it it’s fine.

  Is this a sign of insufficient processing power? Incorrect system settings? I disabled Unlimited RT and common dropped frame causes.

  What is the codec of the footage you are cutting? What are your sequence settings? Where is this media stored? Hard drive connected how?
