    Hello,

I have an issue with FCPX. Would be fantastic to get some feedback if anyone has any ideas on what to do?

My problem is coming when I try to open a project in Final cut. The dialogue box appears and there is no wheel of death. It just freezes, or is taking a very very long time. I can open other projects in different events in the library but in this event it seems like there is a bad egg which is freezing up the program. I have read elsewhere that this could be a load issue to do with compound clips and have seen people wait up to 24 hours before final cut finally opened their project. I haven’t rule that out. But my other idea is it’s some kind of corruption.

    My specs are:

    OSX Yosemite
    3.4 Ghz iMAc

    FCP Version: 10.1.3

here’s a still, im stuck on this screen with the program

    Any feedback welcome.

    Thanks very much,

    Rafe

In the end I found a solution but was quite random. I created a new event in ‘untitled’ and imported the files from the crashed event as proxies. Then when I went to the original crashed event in old macintosh projects suddenly it wasn’t freezing any more.
