Audio and Video sync problem
Hi guys,
I try to sync audio and video but it goes out of sync as the video plays even though it starts okay.We used two cameras. One camera footage(Apple prores, 23.98fps) has sound so we used pluraleyes for sync. It synced perfectly.
The other camera footage didn’t have sound so I tried to sync by eye. But like I said, it gets out of sync in the end.
This camera footage is also Apple prores, 23.98fps(It was 29.97fps so I converted to 23.98fps). The only difference is data rate. First one is 13.5MB/sec and Second one is 13.8MB/sec. Does date rate affect on sync?If anyone had this similar problem, please share your wisdom.

MPEG STREAMCLIP doesn’t convert frame rates well. Fine for converting footage to the same rate, but not different ones. Should use Compressor. And set all the FRAME CONTROLS in the INSPECTOR to BEST.

Thank you, Shane! I’m trying it right now but it takes too much time…
I’m converting 1h 14min long video and compressor says it will take more than 4h….(Codec: Apple prores 422, FPS 29.97-> 23.98)
Do you happen to know other way?Thank you!!

Sorry…it will take time. If you want to convert the frame rate properly…have it look right…it’ll take time. If you want fast, then it’ll look jumpy. So, which do you prefer? Fast, or good?
