  • Conforming R3D Edit in Premiere to Final Cut Pro 7

Hello, I’m looking for some EDL/XML advice:
I’m inheriting an edit which was done by a DoP (i.e. not an editor!) – the project was shot on Red, and he used the original 4k R3D files in the edit, in Premiere. He must have had a much faster machine than mine, because I can barely open the project, let alone play/edit in real time.
I’ve made some 720p prores proxy files in Red Cine X, but I’m having trouble getting the EDL to recognise the quicktimes in FCP, in place of the original R3D files. He has also synced the sound to the R3D files, so I’d love to not have to do that again!
Has anyone got experience conforming an edit from R3D-to-Quicktime?
    Many thanks,
    Charlie
