    Good evening to all,

I am working with some older footage of mine that is not synced (the audio is about 5 or so seconds behind the video). I was able to quickly correct the audio for the ~10 second clip I plan on using. Oddly enough, when I placed another layer over my sync-corrected-footage (I am superimposing an image on top) the sync-corrected-footage reverts back to the original out of sync video. If there is nothing on top it plays fine in my timeline, but the superimposed image is crucial.

I opened a new timeline and exported the corrected-footage as its own 10 second clip, but when I import it back into FCP it is back to its old out of sync self. Does anyone have any idea why this is happening, and how I can change it?

    Many thanks,
    YR
