  FCP not supported on architecture

  I cannot open my FCP application (7.0.3) although I’ve been editing on it for years. The prompt says, “You can’t open the application “Final Cut Pro” because it is not supported on this architecture.” First I trashed the preferences – no luck. I then re-installed FCP with the install disk. No luck. I had recently installed Black Magic, so I un-installed that. I was working with a project that came to me from a FCP 6 system, and was in the process of copying some media files from that project when the system stopped working.

  Do you have any suggestions to get me back on track? I’ve spoken to several tech people at post houses who don’t know what could be causing this. Will I have to buy another copy of FCP 7 on the off chance that my install disk is corrupt?

  To get inside the FCP app, right-click on it and choose SHOW PACKAGE CONTENTS.
