I have some 5 year old FC projects I’d like to grab some clips from to make a demo and they crash the program when I open them. I can open FC and it works fine until I open a project from a specific back up drive. I tried it with and older computer and got the same result.
I some cases with the new computer the project will open but when I start to export a section it crashes.
Sometimes I get a codec error message.
I verified the drive and it was ok.

Any thing else I can try?

My guess would be a corrupted or FCP non-friendly clip in the project.
