  • Sync drift after transcoding

    Hello!

I am cutting together a clip reel of different films. I’m torrenting most of them from the internet and transcoding them using MPEG streamclip to ProRes 422. They play fine in Quicktime but when I bring them in to FCP 7 I get major sync drift, both when I play the film in the Viewer and when I bring it into the timeline. This has happened with every single film I’ve torrented so clearly I’m doing something wrong when I transcode them. Has anyone ever had this problem before? Does anyone have any idea what I might be doing wrong?

    Thanks!
