Manipulate Video Parameters based upon Audio Track
Extremely far out question but I’m wondering if anyone knows of any method/plugin/idea for generating a keyframe sequence based on an Audio track.
Long shot I know, not sure if anything like this even exists, but basically what I need to do is Keyframe the size of a composite shape so that it jumps up and down in size to the beat of a song and would rather not have to do it manually for the entire track.
Any suggestions welcome!

It’s my understanding that this is something that Motion can do. I remember seeing a demo.

You are right, and it’s not hard to do. It’s under the pre-set behaviors, under “audio”. There, you can tie the amplitude, frequency, or transients in bass, midrange, or treble, to command a secondary effect in the ‘apply to” box. You add the audio file to that “well”, then adjust to taste.This example is from Motion 4, which is what I still use.
AfterEffects has more sophisticated ways to handle this, but Motion may be all you need in some cases.
