  Playing FCP7 movie on TV from USB flashdrive

  I have a movie created in FCP7 that I would like to play on my Samsung tv from a flash drive. I’ve exported the movie in several different file types (mp4, .mov, etc), and they’re all over 6gb. What’s the best way to play it on my tv and get the best looking picture quality?

  Try h.264?

  H264 plays well, if it’s under 4gb or so. Because my movie is over 6gb, the file won’t transfer onto the flash drive. When I partition it to something like exfat, the file will transfer, but then the drive won’t get picked up by the tv.

  Then you will have to deal with the limitations of the tv. Export the video using a lower bitrate so it will fit.

  Did you try something like DivX yet?
