The hard drive with my FCP Events on it, is acting funny….I’m afraid that it may give up the ghost at some time soon,
So I’m planning on transferring all the files on that drive to a new hard drive. My projects folders are on still another hard drive.

If I just copy the events folders from the old drive to the new one…..will the program recognize those older Events on the new drive? Is there something that I should be doing to migrate the events so they can be used.

    Thanks

    Rich

That will work just fine. Just make sure that the old drive is not attached or mounted when you open FCP X after you copy it all to the new drive. That will cause issues.
