    I can tell you that it will slow you down. More bits=more processing.

    As for defaultin to 16 bit or 32 bit, I’m not sure. I thought if you just set it once then close the software, It would save it just like the windows that are open, their positions, etc.

    It’s set in project settings, so it saves with any given project but cannot be made the default when creating a new project.

    And yes, more bits = more slow.

    OK, thanks for your answers.

    I thought the same you’re telling me, but couldn’t distinguish rendering preview times from an 8-bit project and a 32-bit one.
