  FCP7 – Log and Transfer – Mavericks

  I just installed FCP7 on a new imac with Mavericks already installed.

  I use a Canon XF100 camera and on my old imac I installed the plugin from the canon website, using Log and transfer to get the files in FCP.

  Now when I install the same plugin on my new imac, FCP doesn’t recognize the MXF’s as video in log and transfer and I cannot import it.

  Does anyone know what this problem is? Can it be Mavericks related? or do I overlook something else?

  Oh I need the answer to this too. When I do a search, I get lots of software suggestions like BRORSOFT or AUNSOFT converter but they dominate random message boards with their sales pitches — and I’ve not seen any actual video sites push these converters — I’d like to see what pros are using.
  Or do I need to somehow find a way to install Mountain Lion (my computer came with Mavericks installed, otherwise I would’ve just reverted).
