P2 files driving me nuts!
I have a project mixing p2card footage and canon 5d mkii working at 1920×1080 HD 29.97 fps (some is 23.9 fps) This is the problem:
After the shoot I copied the P2 card contents onto my external hardrive. I was able to import the footage into FCPX via the Import from Camera tool, however when I try to export the final edits, I get static wherever the P2 footage is being used. Furthermore, when I try to reimport or relink P2 footage, half the time fcpx crashes. I can see the footage just fine in the project sequence. I tried moving the folders to the ‘top’ of the hardrive but it doesn’t help. Arrrrrggggg! Its way past deadline!
I tried to ‘transcode and fix media’ but it says that it has to be imported/reimported in order to do so, however when I try that nothing helps as described above.
