Renaming audio clips after using Pluraleyes
Hi all
I used pluraleyes to sync the video and audio files for a FCP project, which renames the individual clips and groups them together. When I exported an OMF file and opened it in Logic, it failed to locate the original sound files as it was looking for the names given by Pluraleyes.So I think I need to rename all the audio clips in FCP before exporting the OMF again, putting the audio clip names back to the original. I made a start but I seem to have come up against another problem.
Problem I’m facing is that I have to do this for each individual clip, and each sound file is used several times at different points in the FCP project. As far as I can tell, this means that FCP is creating a load of independent clips with different in and out times, all based on the same original audio tracks, so now, although I can open the OMF in Logic and it finds all the files, they are all already cropped so I can’t lengthen or shorten them in Logic.
