  Reconnecting XDCAM footage from FCP 7 project file – green frame

  I am editing on a MacBook Pro with Final Cut Pro 7. I’m running Mac OSX 10.7.5. I have been passed a mirrored drive from another editor along with their FCP 7 project file. When I try to reconnect the media, it all just shows up as solid green frames.

  I can open the footage a play it back in Quicktime X. The inspector gives the following info:

  Format: XDCAM HD422 1080p24 (50 Mb/s), 1,920 x 1,080 (1,888 x 1,062)
  FPS: 23.98

  Is there a codec that I can install to make FCP 7 read the footage? I know it must be possible, as the original project is linking up to the footage on the other editors iMac, just fine.
