Okay, I’ve rendered this out twice and this streak is in the exact same spot.

It seems to be on the layer with the volumetric light or fractal noise layer.

I have no idea how to fix this. I even went to the Secret setting and told it to purge the RAM every 15 frames. It tool 30 min to render out 7 seconds.

For now, I’m just rendering this without that layer

    end tag

    Any clues?

Do you see it in your Comp window while working, or is it only on render that is shows up? If it is in the comp, toggle through your layers to identify where it’s sitting. Then check that layer for any hidden masks or solids, that’s what it looks like to me.

I am having the same problem. Seems to be CS3 because I have never had this problem prior. My guess was open GL but even with it off this happens. Bit depth didn’t seem to matter either. But definitely happens with Fractal Noise. I now suspect video card and refresh but am having no luck fixing it.

I am on Vista 64; Dual dual Opteron 285s with 8 G Ram.

    Are you on Vista?

The black streak only appears in the final render. I still don’t know what was wrong with it.
