Can someone tell me please how I go about creating a splitscreen effect like the one in the link:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8cx74p4RtYk

which is in motion – I was looking at crumplepops splitscreen plugin but don’t think it is that it is as advance as what I see in the video – just need a faster way of putting it together and delivering on time

    Thanks in advance

    Jay

That title sequence was made from scratch, I doubt you’ll find a plugin thats that exact or customisable. Its using masks and video layers, and some 3D movements from one title to the next. You can do it with Motion or AFX, you will not have a good time doing that in FCP tweaking plugins. You will very likely get some good advice if you ask in the Motion or After FX forums.

    A job for after effects.

Here is a good tutorial for a similar effect to get you started:

The Crumple-pop plug in is a good start and is customizable to get you very close to this effect. I liked it enough to buy it when it went on sale, and I didn’t even have an application for it at the time. To take it the rest of the way requires a bit of planning and layering of multiple copies of the effect stream in a compositor.
