29.97 fps Avid Animation Quicktime Plays at 1.15 fps in After Effects CS3
Hello All,
I have exported a self contained 29.97 fps Quicktime from Avid Media Composer 2.5.2 with the Animation Codec. This is an approximately 37gb 17 minute short with 48k audio.
I want to color correct it with After Effects CS3.
When I import the Quicktime, my footage now plays at 1.15 fps.
If I use the interpret footage function to change the frame rate to 29.97 fps, my 17 minute short plays in fast forward for a duration of 40 seconds or so.
When I play the self contained Quicktime using Quicktime Player and use the get info function, the frame rate is 28.69 fps. Everything is in sync and looks and sounds fine, just this odd frame rate makes me know something is dreadfully wrong…somewhere.
I have tried what I know: making certain the project settings are indeed 30i; attempting a new export from Avid; trying to save my Avid Quicktime using Quicktime Pro; searching these forums and gooogle, etc.
I believe this has to be simple, yet I am at a loss and utterly confused.
Thanks in Advance,
Edward
