Export Problem (Quicktime Conversion)
All of a sudden I can no longer export my sequence through “Quicktime conversion”.
Has anyone had this problem??Been working on a film off & on for a year.
We’ve been doing exports of rough-cuts and various scenes to show to producers through “Export/Quicktime-Conversion”
That way we get a quicktime that will play independently of Final Cut on anyone’s computer. Then, about a week ago we could no longer export using “Quicktime-Conversion”.
The sequence plays fine in the canvas window.
I select the sequence (or put in&outs around the portion of sequence) I want.
I select “File/Export/Using Quicktime Conversion”. At this point the canvas window turns solid red and a message in the window says “Display Unavailable. Close window and reopen to restore”. I close & reopen the window and the same thing happens.
If I proceed with the export, when I click “Save” I get a window that says “The requested export operation cannot be performed”Any Ideas??
Sequence Settings:
1920×1080 HDTV 1080i 16:9
23.98fps
Apple ProRes 422Footage is mixed resolution:
Some 1920×1080 29.97fps
Some 960×720 23.98fpsIf choose “Export/Quicktime Movie” (i.e. a FinalCut Quicktime) it works fine.
If I select “Send To/Compressor” it works fine. However we need to get the “Quicktime-Conversion” working, because the director sometime likes to export scenes on his own and doesn’t know compressor well.
