  • Audio sync issues and WAV files: some updated info in my tutorial

    Hey all,

I haven’t posted on the forum in a while, but I thought I’d share an additional tip for fixing sync issues with WAV files that have the incorrect frame rate stamped in their meta-data. This sync issue can occur, for instance, if you are shooting on DSLR @ 23.976, but the external sound recorder is set to 25 fps. The frame rate stamped in the WAV file will override my original tip of setting your sequence preset properly (as outlined in my tutorial).

I was helping a buddy troubleshoot and we happened on a very easy fix. All his audio had been synced with pluraleyes, and we didn’t even have to do it over or convert any files. More info is in the comment section of my tutorial:

Thanks Matt. Very helpful and the number if times your tutorial has been linked by me to help others deal with the ‘feature’.

I have been using Wave Agent for years but never thought to use it to reverse frame flagging on existing files. Nice tip.
