Mixing 24 fps and 25 fps footage with my Tascam dr-100 audio
Hi guys,
First time posting so I really hope you can help me with this one.
I shot a 2 hour seminar on my 5d mk ii while my friend also shot with his, I’ve come to the edit and realized he has shot it at 24 fps which seems to be causing the video tracks to drift out in parts. Any idea how I can fix this?
I’ve also recorded audio from my Tascam dr-100 which is drifting really badly, I’ve heard your meant to change the audio speed to 99% or something, but I’m a little confused with it all.
Anyone got ay ideas?

I’d standardize on a frame rate for your project – either 24 or 25. Whichever you pick transcode the footage to that frame rate (use Compressor or MPEG Streamclip for the conversion). That may solve your drifting audio problem right there.
You can also adjust the speed of your audio playback by applying a speed change to it on he timeline, just right click and select speed change from the menu (99.99% or something). Before you do please verify that your audio clip is 48kHz, 16 or 24 bit WAV or AIFF. Any variation off of that can also cause problems.
