FCP7 file will not turn to prores
Hello!
I currently have an .mp4 file that FCP 7 will not take. I understand why, but when I try to prores it via mpeg stream clip or fcp itself, trying to export from quicktime x and 7 and then to pro res… tried alot of stuff. Mpeg stream clip says it cant do it and sometime closes on me and fcp just wont do it. FCP also gives me a message when I try to bring one of the .mp4 to .mov files into FCP saying I dont have enough ram, which I understand is because my timeline is Prores 422 HQ and the file isnt, even tho sometimes thru quicktime x , it does export a movie for iphone or whatever, then mpeg stream clip takes it for prores and FCP still wont take it.
The original file I was given is wrapped in a bunch of Codecs:
AAC, H.264, MPEG-4 SDSM, MPEG-4 ODSMQuality isnt a priority , so I’ve been doing prores422 LT, but that shouldnt be an issue at all…
This is footage for a reel and I’d love to get a solution soon.
Please halp
🙂
