Help. I’m currently working on a long project in prores 422 at 720p. I’m trying to add essentially a watermark png file or tif. It’s taking 5-10 minutes to render 2 minutes of work (the project is 1hr).

My comp has 8gb Ram and 160gb free so I’m not sure what the problem is. I used to edit in h.264 and the render time wasn’t a problem.

I just added a watermark to a ProRes HQ 1080i spot last night…30 seconds. Took it seconds to render.

    Trash your prefs…

Thanks for the input, I always forget to reset my preferences. Still no dice however. Trying to figure it out.

What’s your original material format? What format are you exporting to?

Are you editing in ProRes and exporting the exact same sequence settings (frame size, resolution, codec) just with a watermark?
